Questions
What is UAV?
UAV stands for “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” or airplanes (which include helicopters and multi-rotors) that operate without on-board pilots . Centrovision’s UAVs are controlled by state-of-the-art auto pilot system.
What is aerial survey?
Aerial survey is a type of remote-sensing survey by using satellites or airplanes or UAVs to perform the survey from high altitude. The survey results cover large to very large area without the need to physically move into the sites.
What types of aerial survey for which UAV is suitable?
UAV stands for “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” or airplanes (which include helicopters and multi-rotors) that operate without on-board pilots . Centrovision’s UAVs are controlled by state-of-the-art auto pilot system.
What are main differences between UAVs and RC (Radio Control) planes?
UAVs are normally controlled by auto-pilot system via long-range radio modem. The planes’ operating ranges can be very far (more than 20 km.) The auto-pilot system takes the control of the operation according to the pre-program parameters.
RC planes operate manually by ground pilots via radio signal and only within the visible range of the pilots.
What Centrovision can do?
Centrovision is capable of performing aerial survey which covers very large area in minimum time. The deliverables include
-
HD VDO Viewer
-
Picture Map ( Orthophoto ), very high resolution (GSD 5 cm/pixel)
-
Contour model
-
3D Model
-
Topography survey
-
real-time VDO streaming
What is the flight time of Centrovision’s UAVs?
The planes’ flight time is approximately 60 min. Normally Centrovision operates between 30 – 40 min. per flight.
What is the range of Centrovision’s UAVs?
Approximately 25 km.
How large of the survey area that Centrovision can perform in a day?
Centrovision has the survey record of 2,200 Ha (nearly 14,000 rai) in a day.
What is the suitable survey area for UAV?
UAV can perform in almost all types and terrain of areas. However, the maximum survey productivity is achieved for relatively flat and connected area.
UAVs are not operable In which conditions?
Unfavorable weather conditions, e.g. heavy rain, strong wind, fog, very early or very late of a day (too dark), etc.
What are accuracies of survey map?
Without GCP (Ground Control Point), position accuracy (x-y) is approximately 5 m. With GCP, accuracy is improved to less than 20 cm. (x-y-z) and the map scale is 1:1,000 or better.
What make Centrovision different from other operators?
-
Coverage area. Centrovision’s UAVs can cover very large area, thus obtaining high survey productivity
-
Track records. Centrovision has the track records of performing as many as 70,000 Ha (nearly 500,000 rai) in Indonesia and Thailand
-
High resolution images. Centrovision can produce a picture map of less than 5cm/pixel
-
High accuracy. Centrovision’s topography survey eliminates needs or replace conventional ground survey.
-
Topography survey
-
Versatility. Centrovision has its own R&D, thus providing solutions to broad requirements of clients
How much does Centrovision charge for aerial survey?
Typical survey charges range between 35,000 to 62,500 THB per sq.km. or some 50 – 100 THB per rai depending on the following factors:
-
Size of survey area
-
Difficulty to access the area
-
Location and area conditions (terrain)
-
Deliverables, include resolution of images
Who are Centrovision’s clients?
Centrovision has perform aerial survey for leading oil and gas companies, industrial estates operator, government ministries and departments, universities, construction consultants, etc.
